Al Qaeda is not our primary problem; it never was. The primary problem is its ideology. It is its ideology which must eventually be defeated for bin Laden's ideas and beliefs remain extant and influential with many Muslims, regardless of what they call themselves or where they reside. The enemy is Islamofascism and jihadism, not the group or groups that have adopted their tenets or dogmas. The Great Satan in particular can do NOTHING to placate or ameliorate the contempt and resentment that Islamists feel for it.
