It is sickening. … Every time I see the tax bill come, I think about the times we called and nobody came." I agree but the government does not think paying taxes is contingent on delivering services. Private companies understand it when you refuse to pay for services not rendered or inadequate but not governments. Until all of us hold the government accountable like Mr. Phillips is doing nothing will change and not paying taxes will eventually land you in jail, or worse.

It’s fitting that on the day Washington, DC is cutting the budget by an agreement that they really didn’t mean, that the city of Detroit will finally get what’s it has needed for a long time: declaration of fiscal disaster.
