We are definitely repeating ourselves. The same comments and analyses that we read in Obama's first term are being recycled in his second term. The psychological process is similar to the sports fan who hopes his team will compete in championship playoffs every year with no change whatsoever to the team roster, or who's roster acquires even less capable players. Understandably, journalists and bloggers need to write something to earn their income. But the rest of us - the readers and consumers - need to recognize that we're screwed! Obama has no viable opposition from the Congress or Supreme Court. He is our Dictator and we will submit to his demands or be severely punished for refusing to do so.

WASHINGTON - President Obama's decision to name Jacob Lew, his chief of staff and former budget director, to be his Treasury secretary sent a depressing signal that the economy and jobs won't be his highest priority in a second term.

With unemployment remaining stubbornly high in the fifth year of his presidency, the job of Treasury secretary cries out for a hard- driving, corporate chief executive with strong economic credentials.
