In response to:

On Earth Day, I Expanded My Carbon Footprint

For earth day I started my SUV and let it idle in the driveway all day. I want to do my part to improve the environment. Global warming lengthens the growing season, evaporates more water from the oceans thus upping the rainfall amount leading to bountiful crops and plant life, in general making life better for plants, animals and people, god bless carbon dioxide

Are you really that much of an imbecile?

Don't you realize that both lemmi and Ransom are being sarcastic? You say you aren't a liberal, but like most liberals you have absolutely no sense of humor.

I'm not fooled by manipulated data, also I look at history when the dinosaurs were hear the carbon dioxide was multiple times higher than it is now at times up to 17%at times verses about 1% now. vegetation was so plentiful animals weighing tons had plenty to eat. famine came with global cooling during the medieval days....... so I guess the question is are you that much of an imbecile?

Yes, in the Cretaceous period there were no polar ice caps, seas were 400 feet higher, most of N. America was under water, there was prob. no ozone layer, and deciduous (leaf bearing) trees developed along with grasses, but the dinosaurs thrived--and all else.

The greens just want you to pay high energy prices and do without to make sure there is an abundance left for them to squander.

Do you really think CO2 is the only pollutant coming from car engines?

I drive large Cars and a large boat. I am not a "greenie" but to say that you are intentionally polluting is like being a kindergartner.

Do you throw litter out of your car as you drive down the road?

There is a difference between buying into man made gobull warming which I dont and respecting the environment which I do.

Young people with environmental stickers on their rear bumper are famous for throwing beer cans and cigarettes out the window. Do you think pointing out that they are hypocrites is giving them ammo

To celebrate “earth day” this year, I decided that I would do what the Obama administration just hasn’t been able to figure out: I would stimulate the economy by the conscious expansion of my carbon footprint.

So I ran the air conditioning for a while in my house.

I also turned all the lights on in the house. Well, actually, I just didn’t turn off the lights my kids turned on. Through this process of reverse attrition, at one point, all the lights in the house eventually were on.

I call this Ransom’s Law: The amount of lights...
