Easily identifiable examples of evolution that we can all verify are dogs, cats, cattle, even people. People were all one race just 50,000 years ago and that started changing when some of us left our original home (our ancestors did) in Africa. Before that, we were all black. Dogs are all descended from wolves. All the varieties are because people chose the characteristics they wanted in a dog or a cat. Viruses and germs evolve because some always survive the use of drugs or antibiotics used to fight disease. The strongest survive and create a new strain (race) of germs.
