Social justice is based on fairness according to liberals, one person being born into poverty and one being born into wealth is not fair, well ugly is not fair, one person being born with good looks and another born ugly isn't fair either so should Obamacare pay for plastic surgery, is it fair that George Clooney is better looking than me, no, Obama care should cover plastic surgery along with Sandra Fluke's birth control,it's only fair. If there were a Hall of Fame for political rhetoric, the phrase "social justice" would deserve a prominent place there. It has the prime virtue of political catchwords: It means many different things to many different people.

In other words, if you are a politician, you can get lots of people, with different concrete ideas, to agree with you when you come out boldly for the vague generality of "social justice."
