It is absurd that these EBT cards can be used to withdraw cash or to spend money at unapproved places. I have a debit card connected to by heath savings account, and if I try to withdraw cash or buy things other than approved expenditures, the card is denied. I also have to submit receipts to justify any expenditures. Why are those safeguards not in place for welfare recipients? Yes, it would make for a more massive bureaucracy, but recipients should be held to some kind of standard in order to minimize these abuses. Who am I kidding? The left doesn't even want to have a work requirement, much less expect them to use these funds for their intended purposes. All that free money equals votes, after all.
