Ok, I said this then and I’ll say it again. You can’t win there. It’s impossible. You can pour trillions of dollars and billions of troops and you still will not win. History is the greatest teacher of all and I can only remember one general ever taking and holding that place. The only way to win there is to wipe all of the natives out, wipe out the poppy if you can and I wouldn’t want that on my soul. That nation is the same as what China was before Mao. You have tribal leaders controlling an area and they control it like it was a separate nation. The only other thing that could be done was to do what Mao did.
