So What if Congress is Missing a Screw? Or Two?

No lawyer should be allowed to run for office. They make and pass laws that they don't read or half understand, so how are the little people to understand all the double talk. Make sure the average Joe gets in, it might just get things going again, easy laws to read and understand, no Pelosi's saying we must pass the bill to see what's in it, they would know before they vote, as they could actually read and understand it. For good measure add in term limits.

If we get rid of all lawyers in Washington ( a great idea by the way), the city would be depopulated. Both houses and the White House would be empty. Actually that is what's needed.

I like this suggestion even better.

(Shakespeare, Henry Vi, Pt. 2, Act 4, Scene 2)

(Hmm... That previous post started out "I like (character's) suggestion even better" but the inappropriate-language filter refused it. Trying something else...

OK, you cannot include the familiar diminutive of Richard beginning with D without arousing the displeasure of the filter. Odd...)

It’s Christmas time and ‘tis the season to be jolly.

Yet, it’s also the season that tries men’s souls.

Many Christmases ago, my young daughter requested a doll and a baby carriage.

Making sure that Santa Claus found the correct toys was crucial because this just happened to be a last-minute request.

I called around and found that of all the stores that carried these items, only one store still had them in stock.

Apparently, these were very popular toys.
