It is just the latest in a series of missteps by the Democratic Party. They seem to take pride in taking words of the Founding Fathers, and/or past presidents, flipping them around, and redefining the language. This basic premise and attitude of the democratic party explains their belief that taxing the so-called 1% will reduce the deficit in any meaningful way, while taking all the burden off the middle class. The next phrase to be bastardized: "Ask not what your country can do for you, but how much you can do for your country."
