Deadly Regulations

In the age of the Internet, do we really need government regulators? If there's a problem with a drug, a bad side effect, it'll be all over the Internet in a few hours. If I want to get a review of a product I look at Amazon, or eBay or drugstore.com.

Why don't you consider Allen West for the Republican nomination? I think he has a very good chance of winning in against Obama.
We need to start playing offense. Do it by ending Obamacare, the EPA, the FCC, NPR, Planned Parenthood, and the Department of Education, for starters. Wisconsin was awesome. We need more of that.
Susan, - liberals are liberal only with other people's money - so true.
Amen.
The Republicans in Congress underestimate the power of the Internet. In 1995, few people had access to it. Today, millions do. There are so many people on the Internet today expressing conservative ideas - people like myself, who had no voice in 1995. I don't think Obama will be able to spin a government shut down into something that favors the Dems. There are too many voices in the public arena today.
Lon, People will always look for the best return for the amount time and effort expended. Reduce doctor's pay, and there will be fewer doctors.
D G, You're absolutely right. In fact, the few doctors that remain will be commandeered by the politically powerful. The Obamacare waivers are a text book example.
Liberals are on top of the heap. They favor any policy that keeps the middle class from moving up and pushing them off the top. Liberals live in beautiful tree lined streets. They send their kids to great schools. They drink the best coffee etc. Lotteries don't bother them, because only one person moves up. Freedom bothers liberals a lot because it gives everyone a chance to move up. Eventually, a liberal might find himself in a relatively poorer situation. That's why they hate freedom, but ignore the lottery.
