Gun Control Mania, Part II: The Revenge

A latest massacre in Chicago to add to all the others, and still you can't make the causal link between everyone having guns and shootings, and not having guns and shootings. And before the usual onslaught of ugly nastiness at my country, think on this; how many mass gun massacres have we had in the last five years when we don't have guns?

Stay in the UK and out of the US.

I wnt over to the UK back in the '80s, before the gun ban. Back then, the English bobby walked his beat alone, with only his nightstick. Or, if he was in an area where the IRA were prone to acting, a Walther PPK .32 under his jacket.

Nowadays I talk to friends in the Met, and they tell me that today's bobby patrols in twos, in a patrol car, carrying the same hi-capacity 9mm pistol and 5.56mm assault rifle as the British Army, and they are still outgunned by the thugs.

Not to mention that since the British government decided that you no longer have the right to defend yourself without facing charges, the thugs have gotten MUCH more bold in their thuggery.

You're right. No guns in U.K. anymore. That's why the percentage of violent assaults and stabbings went up drastically since the ban there.

Until recently, the residents of Chicago were barred from taking a gun with them when they left their homes. It is all the gang members that are committing murders (which we, as a country, should look into prohibiting such an act) on a grandiose scale. In fact, the number of gun related deaths in Chicago last year (done by gang members) far outweighed the number of troop deaths in the active combat zone of Afghanistan.
