Question of the Week: Should the Government Do Something about Obesity?

Did you also know that the "risk factors" they use to decide who is at risk for cardiovascular problems is completely bogus? For example, most people who have strokes and heart attacks NEVER had any cardiovascular problems (they have never had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc.). Also, if you look at the so-called risk factors worldwide, contrast the risk factors in the US with those of Figi: in the US, the risk factors include lots of red meat and few fruits and vegetables, but in Figi, the risk factors include little red meat and lots of fruit and vegetables! The only thing the "risk" factor charts actually tell you is what people eat who live in that particular region! Here is some information on the guff being told to us by mainstream medicine over the last 40 years or more. The lies have endangered our health by causing an epidemic of obesity and diabetes, caused millions of people to be put on powerful pharmaceuticals after living according these lies, and promoted discrimination and public shaming based on what people choose to eat. Google "the-worst-lies-that-mainstream-nutrition-has-told-you".

Exactly, and that includes the reality of the bogus "high" cholesterol, the cutting of saturated fat we need for health, the killing drugs of diabetes rather than helping them to change their diet to control it, and on and on. Scientists who need the pay so keep pushing the stupid ideas. Otherwise, where could they get work pushing lies!

Sorry, "are" completely bogus.

Dr. Atkins said many years ago that a high-fat diet wasn't dangerous in and of itself, and now researchers have "discovered" that digestion (duh!) prevents the fat we eat from entering our bloodstream as fat - instead, the carbohydrates we eat raise insulin levels in our blood, and insulin is a fat-creating hormone! So he was right all along. Also, did you know that people who have their stomachs stapled are put on the Atkins diet afterward? They don't call it that, but if you look at the diet, that's exactly what it is!

Yes, fighting cholesterol is pretty much a bogus thing. Fats are healthful...you just need the right kinds.

You are supporting what I am saying in this forum. Lies, lies and more lies to control our lives and food. Take a look at most in Congress and see what fat buggers they are on our dollar! Or how many, like Pelosi, spend money on facelifts and other parts of their bodies. Fools they are and fools they will die because they cannot reason nor understand logic.

Did he not die on a sidewalk from an enlarge heart? That was one doctor I'm glad did not give me advice. Don't trust them anyway. Only money motivate them. They only treat the patients for life, how about cure the person period. If they are so great why not cure common cold?
