Oh my, not true DisarmThemObama (even your name makes me cringe). Someone bent on violence will use a tool, any tool, before hanging himself, etc. A crazy in China took a knife into a classroom of children for his violent actions. It's about people, not weapons. We have a people problem, beginning with those that voted for Obama, but beyond that, people have not been taught respect for other people, other people's property, or human life in general. They say "so what" at abortions. They blame anything but themselves for violence (that gun had a bad attitude???) We do not teach our children respect. That is the problem. You are right about one thing - stats can say almost anything you want and Obama has distorted plenty. Keep drinkin

Well said, Icenter, and I couldn't agree more. We've become an irresponsible culture. As the classic example goes, we no longer say, "I dropped the glass and it broke." We now say, "The glass fell from my hand and it broke." No personal responsibility. We've become a culture looking for someone or something else to blame, or we're waiting for an excuse to be insulted. As a side observation, look at how many lawyers we have in the country nowadays looking for someone to blame for just about anything. How we get back to personal responsibility, I'm not sure. Not to change subjects, but maybe a little more religion wouldn't hurt?

CNN's Piers Morgan writes that the pro-gun crowd's anger toward him stems from anti-British bias: "This gun debate is an ongoing war of verbal attrition in America -- and I'm just the latest target, the advantage to the gun lobbyists being that I'm British, a breed of human being who burned down the White House in 1814 and had to be forcefully deported en masse, as no American will ever be allowed to forget."

Scads of "in-sourced" Brits appear on our telly without us Yanks calling for their deportation. Hell, we just let a Brit play Abe Lincoln. Fox's...
