Not to the Liberal way of thinking. Reid has a problem now and he knows it-no one to blame. GW is long gone. You've got your next four years, but they belong to no one but the current President. Zip, nada. It's all theirs. And when they blow it-and they will-the blowback (if we're still here to vote then) will be a backlash against the Democratic Party that may well dwarf anything previously seen. He has to change the rules, because he knows what the rest of the Left won't admit-that there has been no attempt-and will not be one in the future-of attempting to work with the Conservatives in Congress. This will not end well-for anyone.

No one should be the least bit surprised; Reid's been talking about this for awhile, and even moved unilaterally to alter long-standing Senate rules to shield his members from difficult votes last year (mission accomplished).  Filibuster "reform:" Coming soon to a Senate near you?
