lbrown, I already belong to the NRA, and the GOA. I hope you are right about shutting it down. It must be shut down completely. The leftists have done far too much damage already by chipping away at the rights of the people.

I'm willing to bet that Fiendstein knows this is an over-reach & so she's making it as bold & brazen as she can. She will then "allow" certain amendments to the bill to make it more "reasonable" while still getting a renewed AWB onto the books as a first step to a Nation wide registration drive.

We do not have to "ALLOW" her to do anything. Bombard Congress with faxes, e-mails, snail mail, telephone calls, and if you can, pay your reps a visit and let them know that the people will not allow them to shred our Constitution. Inform them that ANYONE that votes to nullify ANYTHING in the Constitution, with the exception of the Income tax, will face the dire consequence of having to find other employment.

The New Year is just around the corner and although the Senate still hasn't made a fiscal cliff deal, Senator Diane Feinstein already has parts of new gun control legislation ready to go. Two Sunday's ago on NBC's Meet the Press, Feinstein talked about giving President Obama a bill he can "lead on" and used the term assault weapon loosely.
