I believe all military personel should be trained for combat, even if they are never assigned to combat. The standards for both genders should be the same as the present ones are for men in combat. We are going to need all the people trained for combat when our government decides to disarm the American citizens so Obama's plan for a dictatorship or a One World Order come about! We also need trained people of both genders to guard our borders against the illegal immigrants.

A statement that would solve everything. Of course all this will do is put physically unfit women on the front lines so that politicians can score "tolerance" points with their Leftist base. Women in combat isn't an issue if all military personnel have to meet the same current male standard of exceptionalism. That is why we win wars. Because we are bigger, tougher, and meaner than the armies of other nations. And if you don't think women have s different standard let me just show you something. This is the standard for a 17-21 year old male. http://usmilitary.about.com/od/army/l/blfitmale17to21.htm and this is the standard for a 17-21 year old female http://usmilitary.about.com/od/army/l/blfitfem17to21.htm This should not be!

They won't be the same. Have you seen what passes for a NY City Police Officer lately?

Last week as a last hoorah, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta lifted the ban on women serving combat even though women have been serving in combat for quite some time. Now, a new Rasmussen Report shows 59 percent of voters favor women serving in full combat positions.

Most voters think women in the military should be able to fight in combat just like men do. But they still believe overwhelmingly that women need to pass the same physical tests as men if they’re in special forces like the Green Berets and Navy SEALs.
