As with most progressive positions, the pro-choice stance is all about avoiding responsibility for your choices. Both the Left and the Right value the freedom to choose. The difference is that liberals also demand to freedom from the consequinces of their choices. The Right understands that with the freedom to choose comes accountability and responsibility. The CHOICE to have unprotected sex was already made. The CHOICE to have an abortion is nothing more than avoiding the consequinces of that first CHOICE - or rather, making the baby suffer the consequinces so you don't have to. They CHOOSE for the baby to sacrifice his ACTUAL LIFE so that the mother does not have to sacrifice her WAY OF LIFE... and they call it freedom. How sad.

How can you call yourself "pro CHOICE" if you bar all l"choices" except killing the baby?

You are right, how sad. The debate is about morality. Abortion isn't the only factor in this debate. How sad that most of this country is willing to give up responsibility which is the only true criteria for freedom.

The Teenage Horror of 'Parenthood'

The NBC series "Parenthood"' has drawn raves from TV critics this season for a storyline about a 40-something mother fighting cancer. Then on Jan. 1, NBC asked viewers to tune in the following Tuesday for an "unforgettable" new episode. A teenager would get an abortion at Planned Parenthood. Such is NBC's definition of "parenthood."

Drew, one of show's leading teenager characters, has an ex-girlfriend named Amy who comes back to tell him "I'm pregnant." The high school seniors go to the Planned Parenthood clinic, and the scene plays like a political commercial.
