You're only proving the point. People are getting unemployment, extended time and again from the Government and consciously moving to SSDI rather than going back to work. SSDI is not supposed to be a substitute for unemployment insurance. I agree that it's predicatable, particularly when you have created a business-hostile environment, such as Obama has done. However, it's also dysfunctional on both social and economic levels...and at this point it's mostly Obama's fault and failure, not just GWB's. Vote Mitt Romney!

If that would happen, it would lower the top-line unemployment rate a whole lot more than .01% too. Obviously, that is not happening. Good observation.
This article uses the wrong stat. The more relevant statistic (which is in Medved's article) is that once an incumbent Pres. gets his party's nomination, he has a 60% (15 out of 25) chance of being re-elected. This percentage is even higher if you start in the 20th Century. Successful incumbent nominees are: McKinley, T. R., Wilson, FDR (3 times), Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, Clinton, Bush #43 (11) v. Taft, Hoover, Carter, Bush #41 (4). Even if you only count FDR once, you still get 9 winners to 4 losers, without even accounting for the fact that Taft and possibly Bush #41 were denied second terms because of strong third party candidacies. Obama will lose because he's Carter 2.0, just like we said he was when he was elected!!!

Not to mention that the Dornan Amendment outlawing federal funding of abortion is now in force in the District of Columbia as a trade off for continuing funding of Planned Parenthood. Real movement in the right (as in both Conservative and Correct direction) has begun and will only continue if Obama is defeated in 2012. Keep your focus lovers of economic and political freedom.

Uncle Sam: Hands off the Internet!

The Wall Street Journal has it right on this issue. The Internet is not broken, except for those who are uncomfortable with freedom of speech. The same predictable crowd as favor the (Un)Fairness Doctrine favor this garbage. Control of the message is the only target and there is no need for the FCC being involved in Internet regulation of non-pornographic or non-terrorist speech.

Conspicuously absent from the Kennedy coverage of his 'achievements' was any mention of his role in 'The Big Dig' , probably the biggest piece of pork ever extracted from the federal purse for a public improvement.

Besides which, Olive has a poor memory as to the timetables Obama gave, which have come and gone as have promises like not taking away our choice of doctors, etc.
Some observations: 1) Air America often struck me as a newer version of the old Pacifica stations, most notably WBAI in New York. Progressives is a masking term for Far Left just as Liberal is for Euroscoialist. Many liberals know this as well as conservatives and turn off to such extremism.
2) Air America's target audience already largely listened to a longstanding, liberal network overlooked by the Medveds and many others: WNPR. It's not talk radio, but does it not do many of the things that talk radio does for its audience?
3) MSNBC probably helped Air America's demise. Now, there is a whole cable network that will spout inane, left-wing extremism no matter how putrid its ratings and rantings become. Isn't that right...
