A Real Term Limit

As I skimmed through the previous comments, I noticed that most of those comments were in favor of some sort of term limit. Various suggestions were made on how to achieve those limits. I have a radical idea. What if we actually do what the framers expected us to do? Vet candidates, fire them when they start taking their orders from people who don't pay their wages. We might start checking facts for ourselves instead of watching the 6 o'clock news. Lets start being responsible for OUR choices.

Robert, congratulations, someone who actually understands what this article is about. The unrelated, nonfactual rants by stay__focused and The Slaon Dog are a sad joke and reflect today's social idiocy. I also must say Chris in Kalifornia shows unusual common sense. Kudos to both of you.

Yes the republicans own some fault too, but you statement about redistribution from the young to the old is a reflection of how our society is failing. If your grandmother needed medications and did not have Medicare Prescription available, would you chip in with other members of your family to pay for her meds? Or would you just say, oh well, she is old so let her die????? Time for someone to grow up and man up.

You would be funny if this was not such an important subject. The majority of the "socialism" projects your ranting about came from democratic congresses and presidents. If, for example LBJ and his democratic congress had not robber the S.S.FUND in 1963 and put the money in the general fund and spent it. Which policy by the way has continued through the years, any surplus of S.S. money at the end of a budget year has been automatically place in the general fund and spent. If this had never happened, S.S. WOULD BE IN GOOD SHAPE TODAY. I draw S.S. and when I think about how the democrats keep adding more programs to be funded by S.S. because if they told the people what it really cost for their programs, they would get voted out of office.
