For home defense and stopping power I like my 12 ga pump, backed up with my Rugar .357 magnum for stopping power. But those are rather obvious with a CCL. For that a 9mm is nice, light, small, but has no stopping power. Hence the high capacity magazines. Of course none of that is of use against an armed force of several assailants going against the home.

A Springfield XDS .45 is small and packs a punch for concealed carry. Magazine only carries 5 rounds, though.
