Getting rid of Social Security, Medicare, and Veterans benefits would be 500% easier to do than reducing by half the public sector union benefits. And those people receiving or will be receiving the SSI, Medicare, and Vet benefits paid into them and worked for those benefits. How much money has been given by the unions to politicians, etc to advance their policies? How much are their pension funds underfunded?

Sequestration is going to work ag. unions, as alto' terrible cuts will be made in the military, the fed. work force will also be seriously reduced. A terrific silver lining in sequestration not made much of.
