Lets go for the tax increase on the top 2%, but lets also eliminate any and all loopholes, deductions for them, and include ALL of the "tax havens". But while we are at it, lets do an across the board cut of all Federal Departments of 10%, cut all pay to Fed. Employees by 50% for anything made over $50,000 (including benefits). Eliminate all of those exemptions for Obamacare that they seem so fond of for everyone but themselves and their friends. Just a start, oh, eliminate those Obamaphones, etc. and I am sure the Dems/Libs also want to do away with Christmas.

So you're going to slash the military and the CIA and the FBI by 10%.

Well.... Yes, we would. Do we need the bio-fueled bomber? Do we need the SWAT teams to kill women and kidnap Cuban children in order to return them to dictators? CIA - there are certainly some "black" programs that are helping out wonderful people like Hugo Chavez and MI6 in there. One you didn't mention, that is a particular "love" of mine, that can also be CUT - NASA. Do we need "Muslim outreach" in the space program?

we DO need new bombers and other combat aircraft. The present ones are getting old and worn out. Same for many Navy ships. They do not last forever.

did you know that the Blue Angels fly old,worn-out AC that are no longer combat capable? they strip them of useful avionics, keeping the bare minimum for flight needs.

And Lars, the obama's spending on personal vacations and golfing and theater dates and having White House parties for their diabolic hollywood friends MUST be slashed to no more than 60 thousand dollars. (You and I could party hearty on that quite well). Last year they spent 1.4 BILLIONS DOLLARS on their own demented butts. CUT AND SLASH that to no more than what the English Royal family spends which is 57 MILLION dollars.

It’s been a year and half since the GOP and Democrats hammered out an agreement that raised the debt ceiling and put us on the lip of a fiscal cliff, threatening mutually assured destruction if a budget deal wasn’t worked out before January 2013.

It made sense for all sides at the time.

The GOP figured there was a good shot that Obama wasn’t going to be reelected. The Democrats figured there was a good chance shot Obama wasn’t going to be reelected. And Obama was content to do what he did best: run a campaign on TV, eat...
