LOL! I mentioned a while back of making minimum wage $100 per hour and see what happens to everything. It is not just the costs of employees, but also will raise the costs of everything bought nd sold.

Good morning Lars795.

Yeah, its the principle of the frog in the pot, again. Its one of the reasons why I wouldn't vote for McCain. I believed, and still do, that the only hope to stop a 70 year slide into constitution nullification and unworkable politically correct inanity, was to put an unabashed left wing ideologue into the WH. I hope he, or someone like him is still there when the real crash hits. I hate to say it, but if the last 4 years have not waked up the voters, only the Greece-style time bomb will do it. In the meantime, a $9 minimum wage is just another dollop of grease on the slippery slope.

The U.S. President wants to up the national minimum wage to $9 per hour. How daring.

Such pushes to increase the legal minimum wage often succeed. There’s no mystery why. Most folks’ wages are not directly affected; we work for far more than that minimum. So it’s about other people. One consequence of this is that we don’t think very carefully about the logic of the regulation.

Which is why so many of us simply bow to social pressure, thinking that opposition to raising the minimum wage is “uncaring.”...
