Holder's Chutzpah

I disagree with Dr. Sowell that getting out the black vote is Holder's reason for fighting voter id laws. Voter fraud is an intentional part of the Democrat's playbook and Holder wants to support it at much as possible. The Democrats know these charges of racism are ridiculous and have no merit. Then why do they fight these common sense laws to prevent voter fraud? Answer - they plan on committing voter fraud.

Improving Life for Workers

The reason that unions are only 7 percent of the workforce is that they bleed their employers dry, make them uncompetitive and driving them out of business. There was a time when unions were needed. That time has passed. Now union bosses only look out for themselves at the expense of the workers and employers.

Obama's Bain Attacks Could Backfire

The problem with the ads are that they insult people's intelligence and depend on the average person not to fact check. Take the ad about the Missouri steel mill for example. It has been documented elsewhere that officers of that company stated they would have closed the company down in 1993 if they could not have found a buyer. Bain bought it and gave it 8 more years of life. What's better? A company closed immediately or one which gave at least some people jobs for another 8 years?
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King Does race really matter any more? Haven't we achieved this dream? We need to reject those who fan the flames of hatred and division in order to promote their self interest.
I think Chris Dodd and Barney Frank blocked reform of Fannie and Freddie, whose demise sparked the whole financial crisis to begin with.

The Washington Post Bullies Romney

My understanding is that the Post story said that they bullied the kid because he was gay. I think the family would have a pretty good handle on whether or not that was true. The whole thing was timed to coincide with Obama's push for gay money.

It is used as a pejorative. The tired old liberal establishment fools see themselves as "superior in terms of intellect or talent", so they are referred to as elitists. This is their rationale for using government as a tool for making the rest of us adopt their goofy ideas such as carbon dioxide being pollution.

I think he's talking about competition. If Tom the mechanic can fix cars with better service and less cost than Joe then Joe is going to go out of business. In a sense Joe is a "loser" since he went out of business. This isn't bad because everyone else is better off with lower prices and better service and perhaps Joe would even be better off in a different line of work. The Liberal/Democrat approach to this situation would be to tax Tom in order to bail out Joe's business. This is what happened with GM and Chrysler.

Another option is arming and protecting themselves if the police won't do it.
