part 3---When we engineer products here and manufacture over seas, we create high paying engineering jobs in the USA, but the lower educated people suffer with less jobs. That is our problem.

Part 2-- I cannot figure out how many employees ATT have here in america today vs yesterday because they buy and sell so many different companies. Best number I can find is about 300000. But they would employ more people in the USA directly and indirectly if they made their products here. Just like the food industry. You example of a grocer is not very good at all. He may not buy from you but he buys much of what he sell from the American food manufactures, who employ americans. When we buy american made products the money stays here. when we buy china made products the money goes there. When we buy oil from over seas, the money goes overseas. When we drill here the money stays here. When we engineer products here and manufacture...

First off, the agricultural work in this country is not in shambles. Like you mention it should be measured by productivity. If you add all the other industries that use food for their income you would see that it has grown immensely. Canning, packaging of all types, delivery, resturants, grocery stores, exports, etc. so innovation is good. Also most of the canned and boxed products we eat are made here. John Deere is mostly made in the USA and getting rid of them would decimate all the other industries that rely on the massive amount of food the USA produces and the world eats. Most of the jobs at John Deere are here, thats good. PBX operators used american made switch boards now most all phones are made overseas. How does that...

China Trade: Myths vs. Reality

It drives me nuts when WW includes "services" when discussing the money spent by americans. Exzmple: My house payment is 690 per month, my health care is 1250. per month. There is not alot left after these two. Yes I have a nice low hoouse payment. Now, I cannot seem to find a job lately, but my kitchen sink faucet broke so I went to the store and bought one. 29 bucks. made in china. So i looked around at all the kitchen faucets both at Lowes and Home Depot, Everyone made in China. I drove to the mall to buy some food and looked around. Every piece of merchandise, non food related, was an import. From one end of the mall to the other, imports. I will agree with one thing, Washington is the problem for ever letting this happen.

Is Global warming is a joke? Absolutely True. From climate gate to people who claim climate has nothing to do with the weather. Lets look at the manufacturing jobs. Walter says that in 2008 the U.S. is tied with Germany with a 3.7 trillion dollar out put and as the 4th largest economy in the world. Germanys population today is approx. 82 million people, and the United States population today is approx. 309 million people. That makes the United States almost 4 times as large as Germany. Basically Williams is saying countries don't trade people do. Very good, "land" does not "trade" people do. It sounds so simple everyone should be able to understand. It's like the words Free or Fair, of course the word Free sounds best, leave me alone to do what I want, I'll decide whats best. The word Fair sounds like someone wants protection, help me out I can't afford that new equipment or the loan for the additional advertising I need. Williams is correct in what he says about our constitution and our freedoms and I believe there are ways we need even more freedoms. Unfortunately when he talks about people trading his only example he gives is between two countries and free trade within your state or within the U.S. is not the same...

You need to go back to bible school, Jesus said that if you even look at a woman with lust in your heart you commited adultery. He was talking about intent. The gospel of wealth is as bad as thinking its ok to watch pornography.
