A Few Words For Newt Gingrich

Sorry, but to take any politician apart and diagnose him for the public to gnaw on, is the height of hypocrisy and arrogance! It opens you up to the same inspection as to our won character and personhood! We are all full of flaws, so let us be a little more tolerant of others!!

I don't understand what you mean? The politicians themselves are taking each other apart in a public forum and throwing each other to the wolves...

I agree, Sam1304. No one on this blog has said anything new. Most of them were probably for Newt and therefore as biased as Paul. I myself am grateful that Newt has finally realized it was time to let go and hopefully bring a renewal to his 'good' side so the very ugly side can be put aside again. Newt was his own worst enemy and nothing Santorum or Romney brought forward had to be 'lies' or made up. It was all out there in his past.

"All newspaper editorial writers ever do is come down from the hills after the battle is over and shoot the wounded."

--Attributed to Murray Kempton, among many others.

Newt Gingrich finally made it formal. He's now ended his presidential race with characteristic bombast. The real news, the big surprise, was that he made it this far. And resisted dropping out for this long. The man has a real talent -- for ignoring reality.

If character really is fate, the Newt should have been done as a presidential candidate as soon as his dubious connections with Freddie Mac became common knowledge....
