Crashing Resolve and American Dream

I wonder how many of the liberals in Congress actually know they are destroying this country economically and morally. Why do they want to rush to economic oblivion in their quest to ruin this country all for their power and control. Such a sad thing for this country and my kids.

America's 10-Year Learning Curve

Although what you say is interesting observationally I think the real question is given all fiscal situation is it too late to recover. I am afraid we have already gone over the fiscal cliff and its just a question of time until we have lost our economy and way of life.

We will certainly have default issues, it's not a question of if but when.

Sounds good but doesn't cut the mustard in my view. Future elections will matter very little as I think we have passed the moral and fiscal tipping point. We have over 100% of GDP to debt ratio and that is just the debt on the book... ie doesn't count SS, Medicare and Medicaid. We are running Trillion dollar deficits along with QE3 that is spending over 80 billion a money. Any cuts in government will be down the road and likely not to happen. There is already a growing exodus of American companies and the riches money which will just increase if and when taxes are raised on them.

GOP Convention

What good does it do the GOP to become Rhino's as you seem to be saying. So they win if they are just Liberal Lites as I expected Romney would have been all it does is slow our fiscal decline. Besides at this point I just don't see a way we come back from the fiscal cliff of spending that Obama has and will continue to put us on.
David, It all sounds great but please tell me how do we come back from another 4 trillion or so in debt and a population that would never allow any major change to entitlements? I honestly would like to think there is a chance of surviving but I see no way we don't head over the cliff, it's not a matter of if but a matter of when.
Wish more folks had some clue about economics but all that is pretty much not relevant any longer. This country is past the tipping point economically and isn't a matter of if but when it hits the fan.
I have often had the thought that if we divided our country into 2 parts. One with all the Liberals/Progressives and the other with Conservatives. Each would their own countries and then see what both countries looked like after say 10 or 20 years. I suggest it would be like East and West German. This article says much the same thing in that if the Liberals got all their wishes they wouldn't like the results but would guess they would have no idea why things would be so bad.
Robert, Obama will have the treaty signed and Harry Reed won't bring it up for a vote which makes the treaty legal. That will make guns illegal. More importantly Obama will run the debt to a point we can't recover. Won't matter who gets taxed or how much. It's over but most just haven't realized it yet. Robert you got your wish with Obama winning but you will be sadly mistaken if you think that will ever be a good thing. I so wish I am wrong but am not. Roger
Sage, Prepare and find a safe place to life. Find other like minded folks. It's no longer a question of if but when.
Matt, Sadly I can't agree with you more. Congress is no longer relevant. The takers will kill the Golden Goose but will never understand why it dies. Roger
