Great article but doubt the GOP will take that avenue. Personally after the GOP cut the legs out of the GOP at the convention and now Boehner takes 4 conservatives off committees I won't be voting GOP any longer. I think the GOP has killing themselves. For some reason they think the conservatives and Tea Party folks have no choice but vote for the GOP as the lesser of two evils. Sadly they are mistaken as there are other parties besides those two. This split will pretty much keep the GOP as a second rate party.

Your article not only shows the left's hypocrisy but also demonstrated why raising taxes never brings in the amount of money that politicians think it will. They should check out Houser’s Law and the Laffer Curve if they have any doubts of this.

Sadly I think they would take that deal. I have been monitoring the Huffington Post for the last money and there are alot of called to bring back the 90% tax rate. The greed hate there is tremendous.

Nice article Charles. The actions of John Boehner pushing 4 conservatives off committees and the GOP cutting the legs out of the Tea Party at the convention has caused me to give up on the GOP. My support will now be to Libertarians along with other conservatives friends of mine. Obama has succeeded getting Boehner to punish the conservatives as more move away from the GOP to third parties and in the end will hurt the GOP re-election chances.
Think you have that backward but we will see how the lefts Utopia works out. It all sounds so great but it misses one huge thing and that is human nature.

Afraid I agree
To some extent you are right but also the GOP would need to begin attacking companies the rich and give a ton to the poor with no strings attached. So what good would it do to become Liberal Lite just to get power when what the left is doing is so destructive as it is.
John, It's always nice to be an optimistic half full type of person but its also good to be realistic. In a normal time I would agree with you, however we are not in a normal time. With the ratio of dept to GDP being over 100%, running trillion dollar deficits and 85 billion a month with QE3 doesn't make for normal time. Further with this election I am afraid they people have also pasted a moral cliff as well as a the much more important Fiscal Cliff.

And the Trillion a year Obama is spending and the 1.3 he is scheduled to spend next year is peanuts...right. That and the 85 billion for QE3 spent every month. By all means raise taxes on the "evil' rich and pass more regulations on companies. Surely they wouldn't move their money and companies abroad. Give more to the poor with no strings attached and expect them to become productive. Just don't understand who you are trying to help.

I wonder how many of the liberals in Congress actually know they are destroying this country economically and morally. Why do they want to rush to economic oblivion in their quest to ruin this country all for their power and control. Such a sad thing for this country and my kids.
