How Political Correctness and Stupid Policies Yielded Up The Navy Yard Massacre

Clinton may have disarmed the military on bases but Bush had the opportunity to change that and didn't. Republicans talk the talk but certainly don't walk the walk.

I don't know any time when military other than security folks were armed state-side. This bit about Clinton is in urban myth territory.

Lance I get what you're saying. It is eternally frustrating to elect Republicans only to have them keep the Democrat status quo. You are right, Bush should have repealed that moronic Clinton law, if not immediately upon entering office, then surely after 9/11.
Republicans are as afraid of limiting government as progressives are of guns. Under Reagan and Bush we still had, and expanded, the departments of Education and Energy. And under bush created a new agency, Homeland Security, giving Obama his Gestapo.

Most military types are Republicans, that's walking a walk you limp-wristed dems don't take very often, do you? That's one of the reasons dems do everything they can to cut down the military vote. For clowns like bubba "I loath the military" Clinton and this mezzafinook Obama to have the title CinC is disgusting.

So don't blame the guy who did it - blame the guy after him?

Are you mental?

Seriously, I'm not being sarcastic - only a mental patient would let those comments pass for clear thought.

I can't decide if your are just ignorant or incapable of critical thinking. Bush was elected to fix problems. He had 8 years to fix this one and chose to ignore it. It was Clinton's fault and exacerbated by Bush. I blame them both.

I blame them both too, Lance, but its not 50/50. Clinton made things worse. Bush merely failed to make things better.

Where, on Bush's watch, did a radical Jihadist shoot at a military base at unarmed service people? We cannot say what Bush would have done.
Times change.

I do blame Obama (and the Dems before him) for the bad economy but that is a whole different subject. But I never had any expectation of a Democrat (Obama) to remove Clinton's ban. I voted for a Republican to do it and other things. As it turns out, Bush just co-opted Democrat ideas. My point is I'm disillusioned with both parties. That is why I'm on strike (Atlas Shrugged). I'm minimizing or eliminating my tax liability by eliminating my income. Living off of savings now.

The question you must answer is, did Bush have the power and opportunity to change this? The answer is yes. Bush might not have done it, but he allowed it to continue.
