Thanks for your commentary! As a physician myself...I agree with you in some regards; however, the AFA is just a starting point and is the right humanitarian thing for a developed nation to do. I know that it is not perfect and my satisfaction and general job satisfaction among fellow physicians has been dropping over the last several years....as this happens fewer people will want to become physicians, but the need for physicians will not diminish. I have faith however in that in this free market system; however, leaders will formally implement incentives for physicians to pursue and remain in the field...or face a more troubled healthcare system.
