Traditional Conservatism and War

Excellent explanation of the difference, at a very fundamental level, between conservatives and collectivists--a shared interest vs. a shared association. That false collectivist claim, that we all share the same association (thus the same goal) is the sand upon which their philosophy is built. And fails (see Russia, Cuba, etc.)

Correction...more like 20 to 30 million new Dim-ocrats due to the families that will be allowed to follow them. There will be no more Republican presidents, probably a permanently Dim Senate, no more conservative appointees to the Supreme Court, etc.
Concur. Townhall needs a better webmaster. I frequently run into broken links and the sort of nonsense above. Do they even monitor their own website?

Yes! Although it would never get through Congress, a term limits amendment could be approved by 38 states and be enacted via that route. I believe it's our only hope of saving the country from the professional politicians...which include Rubio, I'm sad to say.
Where to begin. Benko is wrong on every major point. I'll just deal with one: "Latinos are preponderantly conservative". Is that why they have a birth illegitimacy rate over 70%, and why they vote >70% Democratic, and why such a large percentage of them are on on welfare? The conservative Latino is a myth, Ralph. Ask yourself why Democrats so enthusiastically support this bill. It's because it guarantees them the Presidency and both houses of Congress for decades.

Concur. Obaminable's high school or college transcripts would shed a lot of light, but the media have never been interested in them nor why he's protecting them. No doubt there's something to hide there.

You are apparently unaware of a U.S. law which requires all hospitals to treat anyone, irrespective of assets, earning power or insurance. And they do, spending billions per year that is not recoverable to provide high quality care. That's our morality, as you put it, and it's fine with me.

On Balance, Was the Iraq War Worth It?

You didn't answer the question, Mr. Jacoby. What did it cost us and what did we get for it? 4500 young American lives, many trillions in treasure, an ungrateful Iraq, and widespread disdain. Sure, toppling Saddam was good. Staying to nation build was arrogant stupidity.
