We know that a lot of rich people are democrats because they feel guilty or because they want to buy influence. (I used to work for a man who was a (D) delegate in 1976, and whose industry subsequently was awarded tax-free status.) I once asked a liberal friend in graduate school why there are wealthy dems. She said "because they want everyone else to be rich too!" Naive!

The best question at the second presidential debate came from Michael Jones, an African-American who said: "Mr. President, I voted for you in 2008.
