I managed a fairly large corporate budget for years. Every year = a new "Zero Base target" That I subsequently parsed and allocated to my budget managers. Every year I got the usual wailing and knashing of teeth. But in the end we always figured out what was most important, funded it and purged the less important stuff. We ALWAYS got it done. This kind of "Purging" NEVER happens in gov't, particularly at the Fed level. The WASTE is Collosal and it never gets purged. EVERY gov't budget manager has a slush fund called "authorized, but unfilled" positions. You could lay a 10% cut on any one of them and not a single pink slip would result! Just let me at the fed budget. I know I could easily reduce it by at least 25%.

I call them Communists. If Truman and JFK were alive today, they'd be apalled at how the democrat party has been hijacked. Unfortunately, too many of todays dems don't realize it either. they blindly follow like lemmings "because my dad was a dem and by golly, so am I". Duhhh!
