Good article. I think you are right. We need someone that has ideas that inspire and can be explained to the average voter. We need someone who is intelligent, a great debater, and staunchly pro-life. Newt fits this.

I did not think Romney was conservative last time. Anyone that flip flops on abortion, gun control, and homosexual "marriage" at age 55 can not be trusted on his core values. Herman Caine and Rick Perry have had conservative values for most of their life. I will not vote for Romney in the primary or general election. We do not need to promote deception.

Rick Perry is correct on illegal aliens getting Texas resident rates at Texas colleges. In Plyler v. Doe (1982), the Supreme Court struck down a Texas law that prohibited enrollment of illegal aliens in public shools. Most children of illegal immigrants go to elementary or secondary schools. These children pay nothing. It follows that under the equal protection clause in the Constitution that illegal aliens should pay the Texas resident rate because they reside in Texas. Thanks.
