Such a good article and very informative, so I posted it on my Twitter page--which is supposed to be about art and artists. (a little politics seems to slip in there too!)

Vicky wrote '"Those who fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it." — Winston S. Churchill Clearly the Obama Administration has not learned from history. ' That's actually is pretty obvious whenever the President tries to include historical references into his speeches--every single one has been historically inaccurate/very debatable. It's like his writers think, "how can we contort this historical fact so the idiot/naiive/unintellectual American audience will swallow the bildge we're dropping on them."

Thank you Dr. Williams, When I ty to talk to a democratic-inclined person about how FDR deepened and probably prolonged the Great Depression, he/she shakes his/her head and will have none of it! Now I have references to suggest he/she read--if they are open-minded enough to do so. But if we just allowed a wee bit of common sense....
Excellent points, Dennis! At a book faire for recently published authors of San Diego in our public library, I had this same argument with the writer of a book of alarming "facts" quoting the WHO and CIA, etc. I argued his facts were skewed; compairing apples and oranges is unscientific and therefore useless information. He was so adamant that his facts were relevant and that America had aweful health CARE! (not health ACCESS) --it's a waste of time to argue with idiots because liberalism is a mental disorder!

Ms. Parker, good luck on your campaign for Congress. I wish I could support you with more than mere words! I hope you win!
Very well explained; for it is true everywhere to this day that persons without property are also without liberty. There are not only historical examples, but also current-day examples--All through South America, for instance.
"As constitutionally and historically illiterate as many members of Congress may be, there are still millions of us who understand that the United States is a nation resting on the foundation of specific principles and ideals, and not on the whims and charm of any individual personality" That is very true, which is why the responsibility for them is OURs. We, the voting public, are supposed to see through charm and obvious lack of leadership and experience, which the Founders deliberately and expressly told our ancestors was vital when chosing members of our communities to serve the public (avoiding the Twilight Zone reference here) who elected them. We are supposed to chose people of proven experience and practical knowledge of...
Okay, Debra, ONE event in three years does not indicate a pattern (As mother Laura would point out) You should be asking just how does Meg plan to deal with the out-of-control Big Union Bosses should she be elected. Not a lot of there there so far....This election may more be about, "Heck no, not another Jerry term!"
