My God, where to start with this. First of all, being responsible for oneself and one's actions is grownup and adult. Children whose parents don't want their children to experience failure don't teach them resilience. Not finding a job after college has nothing to do with "right wing hokum." It has to do with a progressive mantra that interferes with the ability of people to make their own way. Rules and regulations are strangling those who want to start and run their own businesses, growing them to be able to hire more. Cutting back on the societal safety net does NOT increase the number of disturbed people. Not encouraging success in everyone is what is wrong with your argument.
