The politics of fear and demagoguery--the Democrat/Progressive/Chicago Thug way. Ugly but certainly effective with the low-information voter who feels downtrodden because they dropped out of school or see others succeed in life (due to luck or "getting a break" the low-information voter did not get) and they want to side with the bully who is bloviating and pounding his chest. He's got the media in his pocket and when OUR side points out the lies, we are preaching to the choir.

Agreed! Maybe it's time for the RNC to blanket the media with ads showing The 0 advocating for these automatic cuts and saying he would veto any attempt to stop the cuts. Dollars spent on THOSE ads could be worth a hundred times the dollars spent trying to keep the ("obstructionist") Rs in control of the House of Representatives!

It’s one thing for a politician to “massage” the truth ... it happens all the time. But it’s quite another for one to so brazenly repeat an easily disprovable lie.

But, as in the case of President Obama and sequestration, when the fear of being caught in a lie is removed because those charged with being “watchdogs” are active participants, brazenly lying carries no more risk than saying “hello.”
