If you think back to all the "unintended consequences" of government actions, I think you'll find a majority of them have been because of DEMOCRAT or PROGRESSIVE policies. The "curly light bulbs" are more expensive, are ineffective (they have to warm up and even then aren't bright enough to work by), and if not disposed of, release MERCURY (a known carcinogen) into the air. This is just ONE example. Governments need to get out of the "telling us how to live our lives" business and do what they do best: Interstate highways and national defense.

One of the most disturbing problems about the specter of handing our nation's health care over to the government under ObamaCare is the fact that government regulations frequently have unintended consequences, totally unforeseen by the bureaucratic geniuses alight with the ambition to control our lives.

One example is the "healthy lunch" intiative pushed through with the patronage of Michelle Obama. It costs more than what students were eating before, there's more waste, and students are going hungry.
