One thing's for sure, she's never read the Constitution.

The 14th Amendment is not all-encompassing. Children who are born here to diplomats of other countries serving in the US are NOT considered US citizens.

I can remember when the ENTIRE federal budget hit a breathtaking $250 billion under Richard Nixon. We all thought the world was coming to an end. At least the budget was more-or-less balanced in those years. And $7 would buy me a whole weeks' worth of groceries, too.

Expulsion orders were a stock-in-trade in the 19th Century in America. Most any ethnic group that didn't exactly fit into the "melting pot" meme was the victim of expulsion at one time or another, including nearly every Indian tribe east of the Mississippi, the Chinese in California, and the Mormons in Missouri who were forcibly driven out in 1838 by Governor Boggs' infamous "Extermination Order #44". The Blacks were just about the only ethnic group that didn't often suffer this humiliation, because they were useful as slaves - although they suffered mightily in other ways. It was an age of tremendous intolerance and bigotry.

Solicate = the opposite of "refudiate".

This just in: Guess what, Aura - Gays and lesbians already have every right shared by other Americans, including the right to marry. They just can't marry someone of the same sex, but neither can I (not that I'd want to). That's about as equal as it gets. The "right" to marry someone of the same gender never existed until someone dreamed it up and tried to equate it with other God-given rights enumerated in the Constitution. Good luck with that one.

I read somewhere about how retirement homes are using iPads to help seniors vote. I can just see the nurses playing out this scenario: Nurse Ratched: "Here, granny, let me help you put your finger right... there! Congratulations, you just voted!" Granny: "For whom, dearie?" Nurse Ratched: "Never mind. Next!"
