Train Wreck Ahead

I can personally attest to the benefits of a free market system in regard to Lasik eye surgery. I had the procedure done and it was great. Various clinics vied for my business, each trying to offer the best service at the best price. All costs were open and the customer service was excellent. If only the rest of health care was this good. I just fear Obamacare will get its meat hooks into Lasik and muck up a good thing.

A Real Term Limit

We need a term limit that bars the seeking of another office for say 5 years. If this were put to a national vote it would win in a landslide. Im fed up with career politicians. We need to restore citizen government that the Founders called for.

It will take decades to dig out of the hole Obama has put us in. And too many people have been sold on the idea of living off the taxpayers' dime.

I know a country that has zero murders by gun because it does not allow a single citizen to be armed. That country? North Korea.

The Role of 'Educators'

Government needs to get out of the education business and turn it over to the private sector as proposed by Milton Friedman: www.edchoice.org/

No Regulation? No Problem

You are 100% correct - the historical record bears that out and the late, great Milton Friedman would concur. Better work conditions came about by companies improving them on their own and not by government dictat.

Government regulation killed the incandescent light bulb, which cost thousands of US factory jobs and shipped them to China.

There are plenty of so-called "sweat shops" in the US, so how have labor laws prevented them?
