It will take a lot of political will, time and effort to get anything past the house. And even some Democrats remember all too well the result of the last ban they voted for. There are still a bunch of Washington's resources tied up in the budget battle and a whole host of other issues. If anything is don, I predict it will be done by E.O.

I agree that we may see an executive order, especially if there is another major shooting soon. However, I think Obama would rather it go through Congress so a few Repub votes can be garnered so he doesn't totally own it. Obama is a master of getting others to do his bidding so he has partial deniability.
