It has only been since the Johnson administration that light skinned blacks have identified themselves as black. Persons of color are not nearly so stupid as too many others believe. If there is a percieved advantage to self identifying as one race or another then those with the opportunity will make the choice that works to their advantage. If you truly believe what you have written then your are a bigotted fool and would do well to educate yourself in the history of race in the United States.

Baloney. Long before LBJ, mulattos regarded themselves as black. They needed no help from any politicians. It is instinctive, born of self-identity and social rejection by whites. The issue isn't "bigotry"; it's race realism.
It bothers me a little when conservatives call Barack Obama a "socialist." He certainly is an enemy of the free market, and wants politicians and bureaucrats to make the fundamental decisions about the economy. But that does not mean that he wants government ownership of the means of production, which has long been a standard definition of socialism.

What President Obama has been pushing for, and moving toward, is more insidious: government control of the economy, while leaving ownership in private hands. That way, politicians get to call the shots but, when their bright ideas lead to disaster, they...
