trapper, do yourself a favor, and do some research on your own instead of repeating the B.S. the liberal media is feeding you. Go to the FBI's website and check their crime stats. From 1992 to 2011, violent crime has dropped 50%. Gun murders are down 54%. This despite a 36% increase in the number of legal gun sales over the same time period. Compare the US crime stats to England. The US, in 2011, had 756 violent crimes per 100,000 people. England had 1381 per hundred thousand people. And England has outright gun bans. Further, 86% of violent crime is perpetrated in population centers of 250,000 or more. England has 32 such population centers, while the US has 6 times as many. So much for gun control working huh.

NRA spokesman Andrew Arulanandam said the organization accepted an invitation received from the White House late Friday.
