Irony: 'black' Americans devoted to the party that was hell bent on keeping slavery, to the point where they were willing to divide the country. Once slavery was ended, they were hell bent on lynching freed blacks and Republicans for their audacity in thinking blacks had a right to own land, work for wages, run for and hold public office and be treated like human beings. The 'civil rights movement' was never a goal of the Democratic party. As a matter of fact, the people who opposed the civil rights movements most strongly and publicly were Democrats. Google KKK members to be 'honored' by the Democratic congress. It's not as far in the past as they'd like you to believe.

Actually, you're very wrong on that. The word 'Slave' comes from the Slavic WHITE people who were enslaved long before, and long after, the African slaves were brought to America. In fact, even after the Africans' were freed, the poor white class was still entrenched in slavery. Ever hear the expression 'Australia was entirely populated by criminals'? Their 'crime' was being poor; being white and poor lead to imprisonment, deportation and SLAVERY. White slaves were always treated worse than African slaves; the whites were given the most dangerous jobs (like standing in the bottom of a boat and having bales of hay tossed down to them with no worries about a 'Paddy' being killed because he was 'free'), beaten to death, starved, etc....

The government is ALREADY going after supplements and vitamins! I suggest getting involved in the bills that are being put forth: S.510 and S.6737.

When I was pregnant with my second child, my Dr. asked if I wanted testing done to determine any 'defects' in my baby. I declined. She said I might want to 'prepare' myself ... just in case. I knew it wouldn't matter. I was having that child, I already loved it. The argument about the 'quality of life' the child would 'suffer' just stuns me. Have you ever seen the pure, radiant joy in the smile of a Down Syndrome child? How many 'normal' people are that happy? On a regular basis? I am not God. It is not up to me to decide who lives or dies. Having said that, why would anyone else want to presume they have power? I sincerely hope any person who would condemn an innocent child to death one day has their fate in the same...
