Great article, Linda! I disagree with your point on anchor babies - some do indeed ''drop'' babies and leave shortly after acquiring US passports for them. At least some Nigerians I know do! The US needs to tighten up it's Immigration policy and go to a points-based and skills-needed system like Australia and New Zealand have. We have far too many Americans who are skilled and out of work to be accepting any further HB1's from India and tolerating the illegals from across the border and elsewhere. I don't buy the blarney that these people do the jobs that Americans won't. I'll bet there are plenty of out of work or unskilled Americans who will do these jobs.
