Alex, you're right. A few years back the SCOTUS ruled that a company that hired an illegal had to cover him under Workman's Comp when he was injured on the job. My work partner was infuriated that an illegal could get this protection, but I pointed out to him that the decision was a good one- it took away the incentive for the employer to break the law in hiring the guy in the first place.

Claiming it is so does not make it so.

Actually, I got a kick out of Kmassey's post. One usually does not start name calling until after he has lost the argument. Kmassey STARTED with a slur. He lost before he began.

You are speaking for Peter King? I think HE would disagree with YOU.

Right you are, Ramon. Those people who flee the corruption and poverty of Mexico are the ones who otherwise would force the changes needed for Mexico to assume its proper place as a world power.

True. To make matters worse, the Muslim immigrants were encouraged to come in to fill a labor shortage, due to a low birthrate fostered (I believe) by the high cost of Socialist governments that caused the native populations to defer or abandon child rearing. Add to that the failure to demand assimilation (get with it or go home!), and you have a disaster on your hands.

I believe in "outreach" to qualified persons- affirmative action just boils down to quotas, and unqualified people assigned to important work.
