Life is terminal, therefore anything can be a pre-existing condition...
Come on. We trot out that 50 million figure like it doesn't include a big chunk of people who willingly forego insurance for material/lifestyle choices. Show me a 20-something who would buy insurance instead of the latest game or ipad or Jimmy Choo's or whatever, and I'll show you a freakish anomoly. Luckily, someone else figured out how to buy that insurance for them. Bonus! When it comes right down to it, that 50 million figure can be broken down into those who can't, and those who can but won't, buy insurance. The former being a ridiculously smaller percentage and little justification for radically changing a free market enterprise.

I'm glad to see someone else shares my opinion; BO is not looking for a second term. What would be in it for him anyway? If he leaves after one term, he can go on the speaking circuit as a martyred brainiac. He could continue his rockstar life unfettered and cash in four years earlier. -ko

Gosh William, you might do yourself a favor by researching how much of the tax burden is actually paid by the so-called wealthy. Ben Franklin would be gratified, so might you. In the meantime, enlighten us all...how much do you think is their fair share?
how wrong you are. Years from now, when the American psyche is no longer poisoned with the desire to find racism behind everything we don't like or don't agree with, the deep thinkers will be able to pinpoint the moment in time when this country went to h ell. Poor L.H. and others can't see the forest for the hopey-changey trees.

Two questions L.H. - if Barry actually does think things through before he acts (unlike, I assume, any president before him) 1) how is it he has adopted many Bush positions that he campaigned against, and 2)why then his high pressure to rush into legislation a healthcare package for which, curiously, he is not conversant and for which no one has had the time to fully read, let alone effectively...

Specifically, feminism. These gals see a possible slight in even the most benign situations; therefore the need to educate/correct, no matter how uncalled for - sort of like a perpetual, figurative bra-burning.
