Jesus came to preach God's forgiveness and to love your neighbor "Let the first without sin cast the first stone..." He brings the New Covenant to the people of the world, so your comment that Catholics who do not support adultery do not follow the Bible is theologically incorrect. To clear up questions of the Catholic position, please refer to Blessed John Paul II's Theology of the Body although it is a long read/study. Long story short, the Church DOES NOT have the authority to okay homosexual unions in ANY form and any Catholic that does is not in communion with the Church.

With the conclave to elect the next pope set for Tuesday, the College of Cardinals has been meeting all week to discuss the priorities of the church and the qualities its new pope must possess. Further, the College of Cardinals must also consider the attitudes of the Catholic people when electing the next pope.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Friday indicates that while 52% of Catholics said the church is moving in the right direction, 52% of those polled also said the church is out of touch with the views of Catholics in America.
