Putting Faith Under House Arrest

The irony here is incredible. Homosexual activists are always going on about how being gay is now the things they do, but "who they are", yet they think Christianity is about/can be limited to what we do (e.g. attend church, pray in private) and not "who we are". If one is a true Christian then every aspect of one's life is centered on Christ, and flows out of that. If laws are passed that attempts to limit Christianity to only certain acts and where they can be done, it essentially outlaws Christianity itself.

Your religious belief is a choice, people choose to change their religious beliefs hundreds of times every day. My sexual orientation is not a choice, I wasted 20 years of my life despretely searching for a "cure" for my homosexuality and failed to find one.

For a few Christians this is true. Rushdoony was one of them. Those Christians are Christians first and Americans second. They think the Bible or Pope supersede the Constitution. I can't trust those sort of Christians.

Every living person holds someone or something to be the ultimate authority for right and wrong. For the Christian, that is the God of the Bible. For others, it can be some other god, or government, or their Dad, or themselves. We expect people to disobey commands/laws given to them by a lower authority attempting to override a higher one (e.g. a military officer ordering his men to shoot unarmed civilians). As a Christian, I am commanded to obey God's laws but also those people/organizations in authority over me. The only exception is when the two conflict, I am to obey God. For example, that is why the (proper) Christian position is that abortion is murder. Men and man made laws are never perfect, but God's Word is.

For an American that "ultimate" should be the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

"The only exception is when the two conflict, I am to obey God."

And that is where I see the danger.

For decades, atheist groups have strategically involved themselves in questions of religious freedom, and they have done so chiefly by fighting to have all Christian symbols and texts removed from public view. But in recent years, as this fight has continued, it’s become evident that it’s not just symbols and texts they want removed from public view, rather, it’s Christians themselves.

In truth, it now seems that their end game is to put Christians into such a small corner that the only place left for open faith is behind the closed doors of your home.

This is explicitly seen in what...
